The Summary- Noel
During our meeting, we posted our questions, explained the mood of the book and posted the summary. We discussed how the main character was told that she couldn't go to Amsterdam because she would have to bring her oxygen machine with her. Also, there would be no doctor near by for her if she needed one. In the end, her doctor said it would be okay if she went on the trip, as long as one of her parents went with her. Her mom agreed and they decided to go.

Focus Question (Kirsten)(:
1.) How do you think Hazel feels about Augustus? Are her feelings for him growing and why? Do you think they will end up together at the end of the book? Yes, I feel Hazel likes Augustus and her feelings are definitely growing. I think they will end up together.
2.) If you were Hazel would you regret using Augustus’ wish? If you were her how would you have used his wish? I would not regret using his wish but i would feel bad that he used his wish to make me happy.
3.) What do you think of Hazel’s family life? If you were her parents how would you feel? Do you think that they are supportive of her enough? Her parents are very supportive of her and I would feel scared that at any moment she could be in the hospital and/or very sick.
4.) What do you think is going to happen to Hazel at the end of the book? In the beginning of the section we read this week Hazel is rushed to the hospital? How do you think she feels? This really changed the tone of the book, do you think Hazel will get better of just keep getting sicker as the book goes on? I think Hazel will continue to get better because now that she has Gus, he is her motivation to stay alive and keep fighting hard.
5.) What do you think of Augustus? Do you think that he is doing good by getting Hazel to fall for him? Or do you think he is just going to hurt himself in the long run? I think he is smart for getting Hazel to fall for him even if they broke up, they had a great relationship and they helped each other through very tough times.
